Hi! This site will contain all what I want to say about myself, and that I will declare to be worth to be published on the Internet. Yep, you're right, a weblog. It seems it's so important to be read, known, heard... be met or recognized, it's our revenge on this neutral, unpersonal society. Share ourselves, that could be a great motto for tomorrow's people. In all the world. I am sure that a day will come when everything, but really e-ve-ry-thing, will be published, accessible, organized, available... even more, it will only exist as "a publication" (that's to say, as a shared object and NOT as a copy of someone's private property). Total connectivity, total sharing. Ah! When I think of the global/no-global thing. If you're so smart you didn't figure it out by yourself, I could be defined a "global". But, I am sure, I cannot share 99% of what "global" people out there would... I am just sorry, I have a different concept of sharing.

And, oh, NO, I am not a communist. That communism, according to me (and not even just me), simply doesn't work, and later I will also explain why. You can share something... something else, you simply cannot.

I will publish this site in Italian and in English, a language I consider an excellent candidate for being the "global language" we all should be able to speak as our mother tonghe. Well, actually not all the site will be translated... unfortunately, I don't really have enough time to do that. But I will do my best, believe me!

On a second thought, I will not publish it both in Italian and in English. You'll find almost the same structure, several common parts, a common layout... but some sections will be published only in Italian, other only in English. Even more. Thoughts, ideas, meditations, won't be necessarily nor in Italian nor in English, but, in Italian or in English, according to the moment, the feeling, the taste (OK, I will publish this introduction in both languages, or you wont be able to understand that much).

That's it... as usual, I am really in a hurry, so, be content of reading these few lines, and let's just start with a quick description of what you'll find here...

This site will not be rich of ASP, Perl, J/VBScript etc. etc. (besides maybe, a few snippets here and there, just to obtain something that the poor, plain HTML cannot do). I want this site a communicative site, and unfortunately, you cannot do communication with database systems. At least nowadays (yesss I know that "they" are fixing something so that you can "interrogate" a web site and obtain information, but I also know we all will have to blow another few candles on pies before all that will become a usable toy, and I guess I am also optimistic saying so).

The good thing is, everything is searchable, you just need a simple search engine, after that a spider would have run through my pages tokenizing them... and here's all Claudio de Biasio Internet site, its content revealed, open, public, no restrictions, no secrets. No, I am not going to spend money to make my site jump on top of rankings. I am not that stupid. Who cares? If you know me, you also know my Internet site address. If you don't, what the hell are you doing around here? Leave and live a real life, forget about me, unless you are a gorgeus young babe looking for hot dates... Hahahahahahaha I AM KIDDDINGGGGGG!!!.

That's why these pages are so plain you could fall sick. Because they have to contain information. MY information, of course... ;-) (I cannot give up text-based smileys, despite the wonderful graphic emoticon I saw around! How can you compare a simple, wonderful ;-) with its graphical equivalent?)

Well, I really think I made you bored as hell right now. So, if you just want to go ahead, just click on this link... otherwise, just leave and go seek something else, the Net is huge and grows day after day.

Oooops, almost forgot. You can write me using this email address, if you really want to. I'll also do my best in order to reply your email... but I'm not gonna tell you when! P.S. Try to send a message with a subject grabbing my attention. I receive an average of 200 messages per day, mostly junk. Therefore, my approach with messages whose sender is unknown is - a quick look at the subject, select all, delete. So, if you really want to get in touch...

Before proceeding, here comes a list of really useful links. Those are all online antivirus, that's to say, sites where you can have your computer checked without any need of installing products. Of course, these sites require some kind of ActiveX, or PlugIn, or AddIn, or JavaBean, or Onlygodknowswhatelsein, installed on your PC, so, they assume that you can do that, either because you're administrator of your computer, or because you didn't turn the option "execute script/activex..." off in your browser. Just in case of problems, write me, and I will tell you what to do.

Useless to say, in case you run into real problems (I mean, you have more than two PCs in a local network, and you use them more often than occasionally for doing something more than just playing), MAYBE it's convenient if you get in touch with me, so that I can drop by and fix the whole thing... the only one problem is - can you afford to pay my flight over there?

I swore to God I wouldn't have done this, but, for the joy of the laziest among you, and also because I friend asked me to, here's a

GUIDE TO THE ENGINES (no, not the "vroom vroom" ones)
